We don’t do “girl push ups”. No matter the strength or skill level every athlete performs a full length push up from the toes, never from the knees. Because the limiting factor in the push-up is often core strength (not upper body strength) it’s important to challenge the core by keeping the body lever long. To make full length push ups easier regress to an elevated hand position and progress downward to increase difficulty. Also, last time I checked push-ups don’t have a gender.
