Taking people through split squatting progressions @movementasmedicine and @bodybyboyle 1- Top Left- Assisted Split Squat. Using some sort of support (rings, TRX, keiser…) in order to unload the movement, so people can learn. 2- Top Right- Split Squat Holds. Isometric holds with knee just above the pad. 3- Middle Left- Split Squat. Once people have success with split squat holds and body weight split squats, they can load them in the goblet position. 4- Middle Right- Eccentric Rear Foot Elevated Split Squat (RFESS). Holding a controlled lowering for 3-5 seconds. 5- Bottom Left- Loaded RFESS. After people have success with eccentric RFESS, they can load in the goblet position and eventually suitcase. 6- Bottom Right- RFESS Jumps. Explosive, jumping RFESS. Can also be loaded with a weight vest or body bar. @sanchise387 @kev_in_carr @collectmomentsnotthingz @perform_better A video posted by Movement As Medicine (@movementasmedicine) on Aug 21, 2015 at 4:55am PDT
