Progressing to the Kettlebell Snatch

Progressing to the Kettlebell Snatch

Here’s a breakdown of what I presented for my hands on @certifiedfsc summit this past weekend.

The kettlebell is my favorite tool. I hate when I try to introduce someone new to a kettlebell exercise and their response is, “Woah, I used that kettlebell thing one time and it hurt me.” That means you were either taught wrong or progressed to something you weren’t ready for. We can’t blame the tool.

This, along with the Turkish Get Up, is the progression I use to bring people to the kettlebell snatch.

Please note: people must simultaneously be going through progressions of the TGU, and need to be at a full TGU before pressing and snatching.
