Nothing better than some Paused KB Front Squats on a Monday!

Today’s Training Lesson
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Progression doesn’t always mean adding more load to the exercise
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Once you begin progressing beyond basic mastery take the time to ask yourself:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“Is increasing the load the best option in this circumstance?”
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Often the answer may be “Yes” but sometimes opting for changes in tempo or load positioning may be a superior choice.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For those trainees who have a complex injury history or an aversion to a increased loading simple changes in how fast you move or where you carry the load can be a great option to provide an increased challenge without additional load to the system.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here Kristin performs Kettlebell front squats with a pause at the bottom while we work through the 4 tempo focused phase of our program.

Try some paused squats, push-ups or rows this week and let us know how you like them!
