Always looking for marginal gains…

With Matt especially, we’ve been zeroed in on incremental gains in his power output.

We test his bilateral and unilateral vertical jump numbers weekly have been seeing consistent improvements in his testing. ( >30 inches bilateral and > 22 inches unilateral @ 50 years old) We’ve especially seen great payouts with our recent introduction of contrast work.

We’ve done various contrast pairings in the past but the combination of Overcoming Isometrics and Reactive Plyos seem to be helping us recruit more high threshold muscle fibers and as a result put more force into the ground, and in his case specifically, into the pedals on his bike.

Q: Have you had success with contrast work? Q: What exercise pairings do you like using?
