45 Degree Continuous Bounding

This is what bounding should look like!

@Luville20 from our Level 2 @certifiedfsc course does a great job demonstrating how to produce power and absorb elastic energy during a plyometric exercise.

Bounds should look light and springy. Although there is a huge genetic component to being “springy” many young athletes lack the ability to efficiently harness elastic energy due to a lack of eccentric strength and joint stability.

If you find that your athletes land heavily during plyometric drills take a step back and reassess whether they are ready for “true plyometrics.” Often athletes will benefit from developing landing skills through development of static strength so that they are better prepared to absorb and reproduce force out of the back end of the contraction.
