“Stir The Pot” Active Wrist Rotations

“Stir The Pot” Active Wrist Rotations

Ever since @diamondphysiquesj and @stickmobility dropped off a bunch of sticks for us we’ve been having a blast exploring what we can do with them.

Many of us ignore our hardworked wrists. Similar to our feet an ankles we stress our wrists and hands all day but never focus on training them like the rest of our bodies.

Stick and racket athletes, yogis, gymnasts, and bodyworkers especially need to spend time caring for their body from the elbow down. I see way too many athletes sidelined by banged up wrists, forearms and elbows.

I really like using the Mobility Stick for Controlled Articular Rotations of the wrist.
When doing this you really want to focus on crushing the stick with your grip. Concentrate on keeping the upper arm as still as possible while slowly creating circles with your knuckles. Move slow and with intent. Imagine the air is thick and you have to push through it with tension as opposed to just letting your wrist move easily. Start with a lighter stick and low repetitions and move to a heavier stick for higher reps as you get stronger.
