Rehab = Training/Training = Rehab. The word “rehab” is too often synonymous with low level exercises. Remember that everything exists on a spectrum. On the medical end chronic back pain rehabilitation may mean things like mini bands, breathing and manual interventions but on the fitness end it should look like strength training. Coaches frequently error by avoiding exercises like the deadlift when rehabilitating athletes from chronic low back pain. I believe this movement is fundamental in returning athletes to full functionality and ensuring readiness in their sport. Remember that you are a strength coach and your job is to get them strong. #progressions #regressions #lateralizations #doyourjob #knowyourrole A photo posted by Movement As Medicine (@movementasmedicine) on Mar 9, 2015 at 6:16pm PDT
